Weekly Inspirations - Eight

Click here for the Italian version.

Hi there! Finally Winter holidays have arrived and I've found the time to upload something new on the blog! I was really sad because during these last three months I haven't found time to invest here. I really love writing on this blog and making handmade things to share with you so I want to succeed in marrying work with "my daytime dreams" ! I'll do my best!
These are my weekly inspirations, let's be inspired:

DIY : Polka dot Umbrella! It's a really simple "do it yourself", take a look at this link on Design Love Fest website, there is a step by step tutorial. It is absolutely on my to do list, and it's a perfect diy for this rainy season!

INTERIORS : Love this bakery! The company name is Ou Meul Bakkery and it is in Cape Town.
I've discovered it on Lana Lou Style blog and I've immediately fallen in love with it. I really like the wood's use, the white tile's tilt angle and the pies too of course!

ILLUSTRATIONS : This is one of the beautiful drawings of Sarah Marino, she is a young illustrator, I suggest to take a look at her website, she will carry you into her world of magic.

WAITING FOR 2014 : This 2013 was a year full of changes, I've loved it...I hope this 2014 is reserving many surprises too! I'm ready for anythings!!

Happy Holidays everyone!

Busy months

Hello everyone! It's been a while since my last post here! The last two months have been very important for me. I've changed my job. Right now I'm finishing my second training month at RPM Proget Studio in Rome. I've been missing my DIY projects so much because my weeks are really full of things to do and I didn't have time to make anything on my endless to do list.
Everyday I wake up early, I go to work and I come back late in the evening...It's really stressing! But I like what I'm doing, I'm drawing retail's interiors, some days it's fun, other days it's really hard but  I'm learning a lot so I've found my own calm and I'm carrying on!
These have been and will be hard times, but I'm going to find the time to do things that make me happy and to stay with people I love.
I really hope to upload new DIY projects soon!!

PHOTOGRAPHY : This is a "famous" photography, I've seen this many times on pinterest and facebook. The first time I saw it I've thought: "It's a pity that the photographer didn't bring into focus the fox"...but right now I like it just as it is. DIY - Music for your flowers

Click here for the Italian version.

Hi there! Autumn is just around the corner and I want to say "goodbye" to Summer with this supereasy DIY project. Do you like music? I love it very much! I'm always listening to music...It's my drug!
Well, music will be the star of this "goodbye Summer" project! Let's begin:

You'll only need:
- A vase (I've bought this one at IKEA)
- A permanent marker (I always suggest to buy a Sharpie marker)

First, draw five parallel lines, these will form the staff. I've taken advantage of the vase's grooves, but you can use paper tape to divide the vase into six parts and to draw straight lines.

Secondly, compose your music! I've drawn  a random composition of notes but, if you want, you can sketch your favorite song on your vase.

You can draw everything on your vases, I've decorated another one with three sparkling lines and a quote...one of my favorite quotes: "Enjoy the little things". Release your imagination!

I hope you've liked this project! If that's the case, you can take a look at my other DIY projects!

Happy Sunday

TRAVELS - Val Gardena into the nature!

Click here for the Italian version.

Last week I left the hot city for the wonderful Val Gardena's mountains! It was my first attempt at trekking, it has been really demanding but I liked it!
I've always loved nature, I think that spending time into the nature is the best medicine - and sometimes the solution - for every problem. When I'm alone in the nature I recharge my strengths and I remember to myself  how beautiful is to be surprised by its beauties.
This video is my first experiment as director, is the first time I make somethings like this on my own and I've done my best!
I love watching videos on vimeo and youtube and I've always wanted to make one! I finally did it!!
I hope you can enjoy the wonderful landscapes I've seen, hopefully it will be the first of a looong series!
I'll also share some photos we've taken during the week soon.

My little nephew is going to celebrate his second birthday in October, I absolutely want to realize a little pinata for him!

DIY: The first time I saw these cocktail party invitations at Oh Happy Day website I immediately fell in love with them! You know, I LOVE flamingo and these invitations are absolutely perfect! You can find the free printable file at this link!

TYPOGRAPHY: It's true...life is beautiful! Live it with love! La vie est belle.

INTERIOR DESIGN: Don't you think that the wall pattern is wonderful, isn't it? I love the geometry and the colors! But the feature I like the most is the combination between the wood tables and the metallic chairs.

YUM: Raspberries sorbet inside half a lemon...superyummy!!Unfortunately I can't find the recipe but I think the idea is fantastic!

I love ending my weekly inspirations with ideas for yummy recipes! This makes me want to stand up and immediately go to the kitchen to cook some delicious dishes!

Summer trips - Ripa Limosani

Click here for the Italian version.

Hi there! Few days ago I went to Ripa Limosani, a little town in the south of Italy, with my cousin, my aunt and my little niece Arianna.
Ripa Limosani is very important to me, It's my grandma's hometown and when I was a child I spent many summers there. I remember that I used to play with my cousin and my sister on the church's stairs!
It was strange coming back into these memories and realizing that I've grown up.

I love this small town, the people who live there are so kind and there is always a chill air.
These three days were beautiful, I've remembered a lot of things of my childhood and it was nice.

I hope your summer trips are going to be full of memories!!
Have a nice Summer!

Good friends are like stars - Free Printable

Yesterday my dear friend Angelica left for London. We have spent a lot of time together and I was very sad when she told me about her departure. So I've decided to give her a little present. I've made this "goodbye card" for her with so much love because I believe in this quote.

"Good friends are like stars, you don't always see them, but you know they're always there... "

She has taken the card with her to London, so I think she liked it! :)
If you have far away friends too, send them this message!

Hope you like it. Have a nice weekend.
