DIY - Chalkboard fever

Hi everyone! I want to start this year with my first video tutorial! Making this video has been exciting and painting my little wall with chalkboard paint was really fun!
This project has been in my neverending to-do list for so much time (I've bought the chalkboard paint in July!) and during these Christmas holidays I've finally found the time to make it! Hooray!
The video's soundtrack is a song by Josh Woodward, I found his track on creative commons music.

I hope you'll enjoy the project and the video too!
Happy 2014!

Weekly Inspirations - Eight

Click here for the Italian version.

Hi there! Finally Winter holidays have arrived and I've found the time to upload something new on the blog! I was really sad because during these last three months I haven't found time to invest here. I really love writing on this blog and making handmade things to share with you so I want to succeed in marrying work with "my daytime dreams" ! I'll do my best!
These are my weekly inspirations, let's be inspired:

DIY : Polka dot Umbrella! It's a really simple "do it yourself", take a look at this link on Design Love Fest website, there is a step by step tutorial. It is absolutely on my to do list, and it's a perfect diy for this rainy season!

INTERIORS : Love this bakery! The company name is Ou Meul Bakkery and it is in Cape Town.
I've discovered it on Lana Lou Style blog and I've immediately fallen in love with it. I really like the wood's use, the white tile's tilt angle and the pies too of course!

ILLUSTRATIONS : This is one of the beautiful drawings of Sarah Marino, she is a young illustrator, I suggest to take a look at her website, she will carry you into her world of magic.

WAITING FOR 2014 : This 2013 was a year full of changes, I've loved it...I hope this 2014 is reserving many surprises too! I'm ready for anythings!!
"Make things happen"

Happy Holidays everyone!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! In Italy it's the evening of December 25th and I'm ready to relax and watch a classic movie on the sofa with people I really care...I love moments like these!
This Christmas I've hoped to see snowing in Rome but unfortunately snow hasn't arrived...this is a photo I took two years ago when there was a great snowfall in Rome, it was a wonderful day!
Now I'm going to make a warm tea! I wish you all to spend a wonderful day with people you care.

Merry Christmas dears!

Busy months

Hello everyone! It's been a while since my last post here! The last two months have been very important for me. I've changed my job. Right now I'm finishing my second training month at RPM Proget Studio in Rome. I've been missing my DIY projects so much because my weeks are really full of things to do and I didn't have time to make anything on my endless to do list.
Everyday I wake up early, I go to work and I come back late in the evening...It's really stressing! But I like what I'm doing, I'm drawing retail's interiors, some days it's fun, other days it's really hard but  I'm learning a lot so I've found my own calm and I'm carrying on!
These have been and will be hard times, but I'm going to find the time to do things that make me happy and to stay with people I love.
I really hope to upload new DIY projects soon!!

Weekly inspirations - Fox edition

Click here for the Italian version.

Today I want to write down a special edition of my weekly inspirations...fox edition!!
I live in the outskirts of Rome and sometimes I've seen some foxes, they are amazing animals.
Let's start with these weekly inspirations - fox edition:

DIY : Take a look at this simple tutorial at zanaproducts website! Don't you think the result is cute?
You can make this stamp for a t-shirt...mmm, I'm going to write this idea on my to do list!

WISHLIST : Last week I've seen this coffee cup on Etsy and I immediately fell in love with it! I want it!

LOGOS : Simple, synthetic and cute! This is the Lucille blog logo. She is a young France illustrator, if you want to know more about her click here.

ILLUSTRATIONS : She is another of my beloved France illustrators. Her name is Anne Montel, I suggest you to take a look at her website. Her illustrations are amazing! Click here to enter inside her magical world.

PHOTOGRAPHY : This is a "famous" photography, I've seen this many times on pinterest and facebook. The first time I saw it I've thought: "It's a pity that the photographer didn't bring into focus the fox"...but right now I like it just as it is. The lucky photographer is Dan Dinu from Romania, take a look at his facebook page.  (special thanks to Yun Creative Labs for the info)

Foxes...Aren't they special?

Have a wonderful weekend,

Michela
